PAST EVENTHora Sânzienelor is the only show in Romania where folk dance meets contemporary dance and both combine with acrobatic elements. It will take place for the first time at Sala Dalles in Bucharest, on January 20, 2024. Dance lovers are invited to a unique and captivating show that harmoniously combines Romanian folklore traditions with contemporary creativity, bringing to life a special story.
In a complex and original approach, developed by Anca Niţă, Hora Sânzienelor illustrates the battle between darkness and light, but also the power of love in the face of temptation, in a series of choreographic paintings visually complemented by fascinating projections. In a celebration of excellence and performance, dancers Rebecca Ghionea Marinof and Dumitru Roşca, world champions in Pole and Aerial Sports 2023, are playing the main roles, joined by Anca Niţă, the initiator of the project and creator of the Romanian Fetno tree, former gymnast and international choreographer .
They will be accompanied on stage by an ensemble of 21 dancers, who will amaze the audience with the grace and mastery of movements, but also with highly spectacular acrobatic elements. The mirage of the streets will be known to the public under the guidance of a soloist-narrator, who will reveal the secrets and shed light on the myths that animate the Hora Sânzienelor.

The soundtrack that will carry the audience into the fantastic world of Sânzienel is the original creation of the music producer Adrian Coroian, who also elaborated the projection that contextualizes the entire show, and the direction is signed by Adelina Ilie.
